During assignment 3 I was in The Philippines visiting my family. I took pictures of a local hat maker. In the beginning I had problems choosing the best pictures. Now I am really happy with the pictures I have chosen.

I recently found a magazine assignment from when I was studying Multimedia Design.
The idea was to make her look like a porcelain doll. But there was something on the photo I wanted to fix: the white area which should be dark.. and give her some colour on the cheeks. We are talking about really small changes, but as you can see it made the photo look so much better!
If you want to know how the original photo look like take a look at this. I made a collage of the old photo, the photo I edited it to when I studied Multimedia Design, and the last edit I did now.
Sorry for being so inactive lately! I have been so busy with the entrance exam. Now it is delivered and got more spare time! I hope it goes well, although it is over 1700 people applying for that course every year.. and only 90 persons get in! Scary!
Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I have updated my portfolio page a little bit. I replaced the skateboard typology picture with some newer pictures of that assignment. Most of you have probably seen the pictures before. But if you haven’t please check it out!
Yesterday I presented my typology assignment for my peers.
This is how my presentation looks like. I got good feedback and the only thing I have to do now is to change some of the pictures on some people. Something I will do later… Now I really have to concentrate on an entrance exam for a school I have applied for. It is has to be delivered next week! … wish me good luck!
This is what I have done recently.
- On the first row, the persons was told to just stand and relax with their skateboard.
- On the second row, the persons was told to show off their skateboard and be proud of it.
- On the third row, the persons was told to be a cool and handsome, and are going to flirt with a girl.. Haha!
Well.. I asked around to see which row people like. And most people like the second row. Personally I like that row best aswell.
I made a collage with only the pictures from the second row, and placed the persons a bit different to create more balance.
The temporary title for my assignment is now “Grab” from where you grab your board while doing some awesome tricks. I think it fits well, as they are grabbing their board.. I hope it works.. If you have a better idea please tell me.
Hope you like my work.
I am working with my typology assignment now, and are trying to figure out what I am going to do whit the final product.
Read more about my assignment here to fully understand my assignment.
The first thing I did was to test out a typology of different skateboards.
I figured out that I wanted to take picture of different persons holding different skateboards. And here is the test of that.
but then the tutor said that it would be much more interesting to see the whole person holding the skateboard. Here is the test of that.
but I was unsure if that would be a little boring compared to when I only show the skateboard and some part of the person.
I also came with an idea that it would be cool to take pictures of 6 different persons doing the same tricks with the skateboard.
The collage below is a picture of the same person doing the same trick. but he is doing it three different times. Imagine yourself how cool it would be with three different person doing the same trick.
Now I am going to work with that and see how it goes.
Wish me good luck!
As you can see I got a new header. I made it yesterday when I helped out a friend with her photo assignment. She is taking pictures of different persons on a bench and the person on the bench have to draw who they are interacting with.
I made a drawing of myself. This is how I usually draw me when I make a caricature of myself.
After drawing myself I decided to work more on the picture, and this is how it looks now! I just had so fun drawing and editing the picture. I love being creative!
I hope you like it!
